National Universities Commission NUC has ordered all universities to close down to allow students to participate in forthcoming elections.
The regulatory body for Universities in Nigeria who was working under the directive of the Minister Of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu in letter addressed to vice chancellors and school owners read in part, "In view of the foregoing and concerns expressed on the security of staff, students and properties of our respective institutions, the Honourable Minister of Education, Mal Adamu Adamu, has, following extensive consultations with the relevant security agencies, directed that all universities and Inter University Centres be shut down and academic activities be suspended between 22 February and 14 March, 2023,” said a letter issued by the National Universities Commission on February"
