..Old #200 Notes Remains A Legal Tender Till April 10
President Muhammadu Buhari in a televised broadcast today, redirected CBN to recirculate the Old #200 notes back in the system. Buhari said the old #200 notes will remain a legal tender till April 10, and will be used alongside with the new #200 notes.
He insisted that the old #500, #1000 notes would not be acceptable in Nigeria as a legal tender.
He also stated that he has directed CBN to continue it's sensitisation program in the rural areas to sensitise the people about the naira redesign policy. And those with old #500 and #1000 notes can deposit it at any CBN designated offices.
