Many Nigerians are stranded over new naira notes scarcity. Many have claimed that they are yet to handle the new redesigned notes and have no way of getting it because of its scarcity.
A visit to ATMs around Ikeja, Ogba and it environs showed that many bank ATMs were not dispensing cash and the only few paying ATMs have large number of people on queue.
Many of them are stranded because they have no money on them for transport fare or to carry out any transaction that required cash.
A lady who Identified her self as Omo said she has gone to different ATMs and none where paying except the GTbank ATM where she met long Queue. She said she needed the cash to buy food and transport herself back home after the close of work.
